The demand for high infrastructure availability and the constant search for cost-savings potential are top priorities for modern transport providers. A multitude of decentralized installations have to be monitored, and malfunctions/incidents should be detected and remedied as soon as possible. To efficiently implement these objectives, Verkehrsautomatisierung Berlin GmbH (VAB) developed a solution based on the modules of VABtrack which transport companies can use as a frame to set up an “Infrastructure Operations Control Centre“ as well as on individual workstations for maintenance personnel. The system concept was specifically designed to be modular and flexible, and it is already successfully used by many transport companies.
